Brand Armour provides low, fixed cost trade mark registration services. Our highly qualified lawyers don’t charge by the billable hour, which often leads to a cost “blow-out”. We quote you a fixed price, so you know the cost to you in advance.
South African Trade Mark Applications
Registration of your brand takes place in various classes which relate to specific goods and services. The total costs of registration will ultimately depend on the number of classes in which your brand is registered. When quoting you on the costs to register your brand, we will advise you of the classes in which registration should take place and the options available to you. Our quote will be based on the following fully inclusive charges per class:

*Our fully inclusive charge for registration of a single trade mark in the number of classes indicated includes classification of goods and/or services, preparation of appropriate specifications of goods and/or services in the classes of relevance, all lodging and government charges, routine registration processing services, all advertisement fees and expenses and all expenses relating to the issuance of the Certificates of Registration. It does not include costs of dealing with any opposition proceedings which might arise from the relevant registry or 3rd Parties. If any such opposition proceedings arise, we will advise you and you may at that stage decide whether or not you are prepared to incur any costs in overcoming the opposition.
An invoice will be issued upon acceptance of our quotation. 70%of the quoted amount is payable upon commencement of work and the balance upon obtaining a trade mark application number on your behalf
Comprehensive Trade Marks Registry Search
Should the results of our free availability search indicate that further effort is justified in conducting a comprehensive search, we will advise you accordingly. The cost of such a comprehensive search is R2,485 fully inclusive of all costs and charges in searching through the records of the South African Trade Marks Registry, analysing such search results and reporting to you. Quotations for searching through the records of other trade mark registries in other countries are available on request.

Payment
Once you have decided to give us the go ahead based on your quotation, your 70% payment deposit can be made by Bank Deposit. The balance is payable once we provide you with official trade mark numbers in the next few weeks.
